I'm not really much of a how-to blogger, but this is a cool thing that I haven't really seen around.
Basically, it's a pencil holder made out of discarded beer cans.

All I did was take a can opener and cut away the top of the can. Our can opener cuts at just the right angle that there isn't a sharp edge on it. I first used it to put utensils in at thanksgiving dinner and it would be a great place to keep a toothbrush.
It's for those drunks that like to keep things organized.

You are about 10 years too late. I made one out of a Budweiser can Freshman year, and I thought it was awesome, but Lynn finally made me throw it away when we moved one time. I think it was actually the most recent move, so it lasted quite a while.
I commend you for your use of a laptop lock. In my undergraduate days, I was the only one in my group of friends who used one (at least that I know of). One time Mailbox returned home to find a bum in his living room wearing a coat bulging with stolen goods, one of them being Mailbox's laptop. He got it back, but use of a laptop lock might have prevented this from happening in the first place.
I knew there was a reason I liked you, BRuss.
That man was brought to justice, I might add. Also, he claimed to be a friend of Collins'. At first, I believed him. But then the cord to my laptop fell out of his coat.
I tried to place the said "bum" under citizens arrest. He threatened to "...cut me up real good." I got scared and let him go. We pursued on foot to no avail. A month later, Mailbox and I sat in court waiting for our chance to nail him.
Moral of the story: Those who DON'T use laptop locks win. They get to mail bums.
What a prepared student. Look at all those #2 pencils. Pre-sharpened, I surmise?
